We did very well so far with our schedule, so I allowed the crew to rest a bit for two days, the time to provision and clean the boat, explore Gibraltar and change the biological beat of the watch schedule. Gibraltar is an interesting example of the British Naval dominance in this world.

Curanta Cridhe in the Canary Islands for Winter 2017-2018

A few weeks ago, Hurricanes Irma and Maria had devastating paths across the Caribbean Islands and as a result, many charter yachts present in the area have suffered important damages. Also several traditional charter destinations such as St-Martin, St-Barth, the BVI’s, USVI - to name a few - have experienced major destruction in terms of marine infrastructure and logistic facilities.

Curanta Cridhe’s first charter in the Med

Our first charter just ended in Bonifacio, Corsica and we can proudly say it was a true success. We were blessed to receive on board Curanta Cridhe a very nice Brazilian family. I picked them up at the Calvi airport in Corsica. They began their family vacation with a few days in Paris, France, then they put their bags on the teak deck of Curanta Cridhe
